Urban connectivity is a vital factor in the development of modern cities, and Tunnel Saz Machine is proud to play a pivotal role in driving this forward. Tunnel Saz Machine Company has started the assembly operation of mechanized Tunnel Boring Machine (EPB-TBM) with a diameter of 9.4 m since December of this year (2023) at station G3 located in Golestan town of Shiraz city for the Metro Line 3 Project. Shams Omran Company is the main contractor for the implementation of this project and Tunnel Saz Machine Company is responsible for supplying, assembling and commissioning the machine. The mechanized drilling machine with a diameter of 9.4 meters will be used for the first time in Shiraz city and it is hoped that it will be the driving force for the successful implementation of this important subway project in Shiraz. Equipped with advanced automation capabilities, this machine ensures fast tunnel excavation and significantly reduces project execution time.
The Shiraz Metro Line 3 project is approximately 11.7 kilometers long and has 8 stations, which is also considered as the western extension of Line 1. It is located in the east-west direction and passes through the routes of Mirzai Shirazi Square - Mirzai Shirazi Boulevard - Sanayeh Square - Doctor Hasabi Boulevard before reaching Shiraz railway station.
The purpose of this project is to reduce the traffic in the upper streets and solve the transport problem for the residents of the western settlements of Shiraz city.
