The TBM Assembly with 9.4 m Excavation Diameter – Shiraz Metro
Via completing the assembly of TBM-S280 in two months along with a programmed and complicated process, eventually, the test run of the machine was started on the 7th February in 2024. By running the TBM and preparing the conditions for moving forward, as well as the accessibility of precast concrete segments, building the negative rings and TBM advance for excavation was executed.
Simultaneously with finishing the negative rings and connecting the main high voltage power to the TBM, the excavation of the project started on 20th April 2024. With excavation for 40 days and 115 meters in TBM advance, temporarily, the project has been stopped for installation of tunnel conveyor belt cassette and removal of negative rings and push frame.
