In 2025, this congress is being held from May 9 to 15 in Stockholm, Sweden, under the theme "Tunneling Towards a Sustainable Future." Dr. Ebrahim Farrokh, representing the Research and Development team of Tunnel Saz Machine (TSM), presented a research paper at the World Tunnel Congress (WTC 2025) focused on the full-scale abrasion testing of cutter discs. Given the critical role of cutter discs in the performance of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) and their direct impact on tunneling efficiency, this study provides practical solutions for improving design, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing the accuracy of predicting the lifespan of cutting tools.

The participation of Tunnel Saz Machine (TSM) in this edition of the World Tunnel Congress is a testament to the company's research-oriented approach and active role in the development of innovative technologies in mechanized tunneling.
